Description

The Yellow Spike Millipede ( Orthomorpha sp. ‘Yellow Spike’) is a small but striking species, named for the vivid yellow spines running along its back. These colourful spines contrast beautifully with the dark body, giving the species a bold and ornamental appearance.

They thrive in humid, warm enclosures with a deep, nutrient-rich substrate, supplemented with rotting wood and plenty of leaf litter. Peaceful and active, they play a valuable role in breaking down organic matter, making them both functional and decorative in bioactive setups.

With their unusual spiny appearance, manageable size, and hardy nature, the Yellow Spike Millipede is an excellent choice for keepers wanting something a little different from the more common smooth-bodied species.
