Description
Troglodillo sp. ‘Vex’ is a striking and unusual tropical isopod, prized for its dark, moody colouration and association with cave and deep-leaf-litter habitats. As with other Troglodillo , this species exhibits secretive behaviour and spends much of its time hidden, making sightings particularly rewarding.

This species thrives in warm, consistently humid enclosures with deep substrate, abundant decaying wood, and thick leaf litter. A stable microclimate is essential — sudden changes in humidity or temperature can stress colonies. Low light, minimal disturbance, and excellent ventilation are key to long-term success.
