Description

The Trichoniscidae sp. ‘Dwarf Purple’ is a tiny yet striking isopod, prized for its rich purple colouring and small size. Growing to only around 0.5 cm, these isopods make excellent cleanup crews for bioactive enclosures while adding a splash of colour to the substrate.

They thrive in moist, well-ventilated enclosures with a nutrient-rich substrate and plenty of leaf litter. Colonies reproduce quickly and establish fast, making them highly effective at recycling waste and keeping terrariums clean. Their small size allows them to cohabit with other invertebrates and reptiles without being intrusive.
