Description

The Sapphire Cockroach ( Eucorydia yasumatsui ) is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful cockroach species in the hobby, admired for its iridescent metallic blue wing covers contrasted with striking orange markings. Their jewel-like appearance makes them a true display species, often compared more to ornamental beetles than roaches.

They thrive in warm, humid enclosures with good airflow, a deep substrate, cork bark for hides, and plenty of decaying leaf litter and wood. This species is more delicate than common cockroaches, requiring stable conditions and patience when establishing colonies.
