Description

The Porcellio laevis ‘Milkback’ is a distinctive morph of P. laevis , named for the creamy white stripe that runs along the back of its otherwise darker body. This simple yet elegant marking makes it stand out from other laevis morphs such as the bold ‘Dairy Cow’ or vibrant ‘Orange’.

Like all Porcellio laevis , the ‘Milkback’ is a hardy, fast-breeding species that thrives in enclosures with good ventilation, a clear moisture gradient, and access to plenty of leaf litter and decaying wood. Colonies establish quickly and are very forgiving, making them ideal for beginners and highly rewarding for experienced keepers.

With their unique milk-white dorsal stripe, rapid breeding, and reliable care needs, the ‘Milkback’ Porcellio laevis is an excellent addition to both functional bioactive setups and ornamental isopod collections.
