Description

The Porcellio hoffmanseggi ‘Yeti’ is a striking and rare colour morph of one of the largest Porcellio species in the hobby. Known for its pale, frosted white tones contrasted against the species’ impressive size, the ‘Yeti’ morph is truly a standout display species that commands attention in any collection.

They thrive in enclosures with strong airflow, a clear moisture gradient (humid retreat alongside drier zones), and a deep, nutrient-rich substrate. Like all giant Porcellio , they require a constant supply of leaf litter, decaying wood, and supplemental calcium. Colonies reproduce at a moderate pace, slower than smaller Porcellio , but reward patient keepers with long-lived, spectacularly coloured individuals.

With their imposing size and unique frosty appearance, the ‘Yeti’ Porcellio hoffmanseggi is best suited for intermediate to advanced keepers looking to add a rare and visually stunning giant isopod to their collection.
