Description

The Porcellio flavomarginatus ‘Crete’ is a beautiful locality form of P. flavomarginatus , collected from the Greek island of Crete. Like the standard form, it is recognised for its yellow edging (“flavo-marginatus”) along the body segments, but this locality often displays stronger colour contrast and distinctive tones, making it especially desirable for collectors.

They thrive in enclosures with good airflow, a clear moisture gradient (humid retreat with drier zones), and a steady supply of leaf litter and decaying wood. Colonies reproduce reliably and are easy to establish, making them both functional and ornamental.

With their attractive markings, Mediterranean origins, and ease of care, the ‘Crete’ Porcellio flavomarginatus is an excellent choice for both beginners and advanced collectors who enjoy locality-specific species.
