Description

The Porcellio expansus is a giant among isopods, reaching up to 3 cm and making it one of the largest Porcellio species in the hobby. With its elongated body, bold appearance, and active behaviour, it is a true showpiece species for any collection.

They thrive in enclosures with a deep substrate, good ventilation, and a strong moisture gradient — a dry zone is essential alongside a humid retreat. Leaf litter, rotting wood, and calcium supplements are key to maintaining a healthy colony.
