Description
The Pink Flatback Millipede ( Antheromorpha uncinata
) is a vibrant and eye-catching species, recognised for its bold pink to reddish lateral extensions and contrasting darker dorsal surface. Its flattened body shape gives it a distinctive appearance compared to round-bodied millipede species, making it a standout addition to tropical invertebrate setups.
They thrive in warm, humid enclosures with deep, organic-rich substrate composed of decaying hardwood and leaf litter. A consistently moist environment (without becoming waterlogged) is important for successful moulting. Good ventilation and access to calcium sources will support healthy growth and longevity.
Hardy, active, and visually striking, the Pink Flatback Millipede is well suited to both beginners and experienced keepers looking to add colour and movement to their bioactive or display enclosures.
