Description
Grammostola pulchra , commonly known as the Brazilian Black Tarantula, is one of the most iconic and sought-after species in the hobby. Famous for its deep velvet-black coloration and calm temperament, this species is highly regarded by both beginner and experienced keepers alike.

Slow growing but extremely rewarding, G. pulchra develops into a stunning display tarantula with an impressive solid black appearance unmatched by most other species. Juveniles at this size already show the beginnings of their characteristic dark coloration and robust build.

This terrestrial species prefers a simple setup with adequate substrate depth, a hide, and slightly moist conditions. Known for being relatively docile and hardy, it is often recommended as an excellent long-term species for keepers wanting a calm and visually striking tarantula.
