Description

The Giant Flower Cockroach ( Eucorydia dasytoides ) is one of the most colourful and ornamental cockroaches in the hobby. Adults display vivid metallic blue and gold patterning across their wings and pronotum, making them resemble living jewels rather than typical cockroaches.

This species thrives in warm, humid enclosures with good airflow, deep substrate, cork bark, and plenty of leaf litter. They prefer a varied diet of fruits, vegetables, and decaying organic matter. Colonies reproduce in captivity, though breeding can be slower compared to more common cockroach species.

Peaceful, non-invasive, and striking in appearance, the Giant Flower Cockroach is an excellent display species for intermediate to advanced keepers who want something truly unique in their collection.
