Description

The Ghost Mantis ( Phyllocrania paradoxa ) is one of the most fascinating and iconic mantis species, famed for its incredible leaf-like camouflage. With twisted, jagged bodies and earthy tones, they mimic dead leaves so convincingly that they often disappear into their surroundings.

Sold here as L3+ nymphs, these mantids are hardy at this stage and ready to thrive under proper care. They prefer warm, well-ventilated enclosures with plenty of twigs and foliage for climbing and camouflage. Humidity should be moderate with regular misting, and they feed readily on fruit flies, small roaches, or other appropriately sized livefoods.

Ghost Mantids are relatively small, peaceful for mantids, and highly rewarding to keep as display pets. Their calm temperament and unique appearance make them a favourite among beginners and experienced keepers alike.
