Description

The Ghana Speckled Leg Millipede ( Telodeinopus aoutii ) is a striking species, named for its beautifully speckled legs that contrast against its long, dark body. Growing to lengths of 12–15 cm, it is a medium-to-large millipede that makes an excellent display species in tropical terrariums.

These millipedes thrive in warm, humid enclosures with deep, nutrient-rich substrate for burrowing, plenty of leaf litter, and decaying wood. They feed readily on a diet of rotting wood, leaf litter, fruits, and vegetables, making them easy to maintain.

Docile and easy to handle, the Ghana Speckled Leg Millipede is a hardy species well-suited for beginners while still being an attractive choice for experienced invertebrate keepers. Its combination of size, pattern, and calm nature makes it a popular millipede in the hobby.
