Description

The Extinct Cockroach ( Simandoa conserfariam ) is a truly unique species, known as the only cockroach declared extinct in the wild. Once native to caves in Guinea, this species now survives exclusively in captivity thanks to ongoing breeding efforts by hobbyists and researchers.

They are a hardy, medium-sized roach with a glossy brown body and lighter markings. Calm and non-invasive, they thrive in warm, humid enclosures with a deep substrate, cork bark, and leaf litter for hiding and foraging. Their diet includes fruit, vegetables, leaf litter, and supplementary foods such as fish flakes or roach chow.
