⚠️ Shipping Update – Heatwave Delays

Due to the ongoing UK heatwave, we've temporarily paused shipping of all live livestock and plants to ensure they arrive safely.

The good news is that temperatures are forecast to drop significantly next week, and we'll be resuming dispatches.

Current dispatch schedule:

  • Orders placed 29th June – 5th July: Dispatching Monday.
  • Orders placed 6th July – 12th July: Dispatching Tuesday & Wednesday.
  • New orders placed from today: Dispatching from 27th July.

We've built up a large backlog during the heatwave, so we're bringing in additional staff and implementing a new workflow to get orders out as quickly as possible.

Description

Cristarmadillidium muricatum is a lesser-known pillbug species with a compact body form and subtle colouring. While not as showy as some Armadillidium morphs, it stands out for its rarity in the hobby and is an excellent choice for keepers who enjoy maintaining unusual species.

This species thrives in a setup with a moisture gradient, good ventilation, and access to leaf litter, cork bark, and decaying wood. Hardy and adaptable, they breed reliably in captivity once settled.

Though understated in appearance, Cristarmadillidium muricatum is a rewarding species for both collectors seeking variety and hobbyists who appreciate the full diversity of the isopod world.
