⚠️ Shipping Update – Heatwave Delays

Due to the ongoing UK heatwave, we've temporarily paused shipping of all live livestock and plants to ensure they arrive safely.

The good news is that temperatures are forecast to drop significantly next week, and we'll be resuming dispatches.

Current dispatch schedule:

  • Orders placed 29th June – 5th July: Dispatching Monday.
  • Orders placed 6th July – 12th July: Dispatching Tuesday & Wednesday.
  • New orders placed from today: Dispatching from 27th July.

We've built up a large backlog during the heatwave, so we're bringing in additional staff and implementing a new workflow to get orders out as quickly as possible.

We sincerely apologise for the delay and thank you for your patience. The welfare of our livestock and plants will always come first.

Our Coarse Granulated Lava Rock (10–30 mm) is a lightweight and versatile natural medium, ideal for a variety of terrarium and vivarium applications. Its porous structure helps retain water while also improving aeration, making it an excellent addition to substrate mixes for invertebrates, reptiles, and plants.

It can also be used as a drainage layer in bioactive setups, ensuring excess water is held away from roots, or as an eye-catching decorative top dressing to add texture and contrast to your enclosure design.
