⚠️ Shipping Update – Heatwave Delays

Due to the ongoing UK heatwave, we've temporarily paused shipping of all live livestock and plants to ensure they arrive safely.

The good news is that temperatures are forecast to drop significantly next week, and we'll be resuming dispatches.

Current dispatch schedule:

  • Orders placed 29th June – 5th July: Dispatching Monday.
  • Orders placed 6th July – 12th July: Dispatching Tuesday & Wednesday.
  • New orders placed from today: Dispatching from 27th July.

We've built up a large backlog during the heatwave, so we're bringing in additional staff and implementing a new workflow to get orders out as quickly as possible.

Description

The Armadillidium tirolense ‘Lake Garda’ is a beautiful locality form of A. tirolense , collected originally from the Lake Garda region of Italy. It is characterised by its subtle grey colouring and smooth, compact body shape, making it a neat and reliable addition to any isopod collection.

This species is hardy and adaptable, thriving in enclosures with good ventilation, a clear moisture gradient, and a steady supply of leaf litter and rotting wood. Colonies establish well and reproduce steadily in captivity, making them suitable for both new and experienced keepers.

With their neat appearance, adaptability, and easy husbandry requirements, the ‘Lake Garda’ form of Armadillidium tirolense is a solid and attractive choice for collectors who enjoy maintaining a wide range of European Armadillidium.
