⚠️ Shipping Update – Heatwave Delays

Due to the ongoing UK heatwave, we've temporarily paused shipping of all live livestock and plants to ensure they arrive safely.

The good news is that temperatures are forecast to drop significantly next week, and we'll be resuming dispatches.

Current dispatch schedule:

  • Orders placed 29th June – 5th July: Dispatching Monday.
  • Orders placed 6th July – 12th July: Dispatching Tuesday & Wednesday.
  • New orders placed from today: Dispatching from 27th July.

We've built up a large backlog during the heatwave, so we're bringing in additional staff and implementing a new workflow to get orders out as quickly as possible.

Description

The Armadillidium sp. ‘Corfu’ is a beautiful locality isopod collected from the Greek island of Corfu, admired for its natural earthy colouration and classic Armadillidium shape. Its subtle blend of greys and browns, often accented with lighter edging, makes it an excellent choice for naturalistic displays and collectors who appreciate locality forms.

This species thrives in a well-ventilated enclosure with a deep, calcium-rich substrate, plenty of decaying hardwood, leaf litter, and areas of moss to maintain a suitable humidity gradient. Like many Mediterranean Armadillidium , they appreciate having both damp and drier areas within the enclosure, allowing them to regulate their own moisture levels. A varied diet of leaf litter, rotting wood, cuttlebone, and occasional protein supplements will help maintain healthy, active colonies.

Armadillidium sp. ‘Corfu’ breeds steadily under the correct conditions and is known for its hardy nature and straightforward care requirements.
