⚠️ Shipping Update – Heatwave Delays

Due to the ongoing UK heatwave, we've temporarily paused shipping of all live livestock and plants to ensure they arrive safely.

The good news is that temperatures are forecast to drop significantly next week, and we'll be resuming dispatches.

Current dispatch schedule:

  • Orders placed 29th June – 5th July: Dispatching Monday.
  • Orders placed 6th July – 12th July: Dispatching Tuesday & Wednesday.
  • New orders placed from today: Dispatching from 27th July.

We've built up a large backlog during the heatwave, so we're bringing in additional staff and implementing a new workflow to get orders out as quickly as possible.

Description

Armadillidium ruffoi is a charming Mediterranean pillbug species, appreciated for its manageable size and natural hardiness. While not as brightly coloured as some morphs, its subtle tones and active behaviour make it an appealing addition for collectors who enjoy species variety.

This species thrives in enclosures with good airflow, a clear moisture gradient, and access to leaf litter and decaying wood. Like other Armadillidium , they are capable of rolling up into a ball when disturbed, adding to their appeal as display isopods.
