Description

Armadillidium peraccae is a charming, small pillbug species that has become popular among isopod keepers for its ease of care and lively behaviour. With a smooth, compact body and a tendency to roll up tightly when disturbed, they make an attractive and interactive species to keep.

This species is hardy and adaptable, thriving in a variety of setups as long as they are provided with a proper moisture gradient, good ventilation, and access to leaf litter and decaying wood. Their manageable size and reliable breeding rate make them a great choice for both beginners and experienced hobbyists.

While not as colourful as some morphs of A. vulgare , Armadillidium peraccae makes up for it with their activity levels and ease of keeping. A solid “all-rounder” that fits well in both display enclosures and functional bioactive setups.
