Description

Armadillidium nasatum is a widespread European pillbug species, easily identified by its elongated “nose-like” frontal plate that gives the species its name. Found commonly in the UK and mainland Europe, it is a hardy, adaptable isopod that makes an excellent addition for keepers of all levels.

This species thrives in a variety of conditions, preferring enclosures with good ventilation, a clear moisture gradient, and plenty of leaf litter and decaying wood. They reproduce well in captivity, and their larger size compared to some other Armadillidium species makes them an interesting display species.
