Description

The Armadillidium klugii ‘Orange’ is a vibrant morph of A. klugii , prized for its bold orange markings that stand out beautifully against a darker background. Like other klugii morphs, it has earned the nickname “clown isopod” thanks to its striking, high-contrast colouration.

This morph does best in slightly warmer and drier conditions than many other Armadillidium , with strong ventilation and a clear moisture gradient. A setup with cork bark, leaf litter, and decaying wood will help them thrive and breed steadily in captivity.

A highly decorative and sought-after species, the ‘Orange’ morph of A. klugii is ideal for intermediate to advanced keepers looking for a colourful, display-worthy isopod to add to their collection.
